I agree with most everything Phil had to say to Chris on this subject. Perhaps time didn’t allow for a fuller discussion. And a real discussion of the issue of racial issues within a Bible believing church has to include a black person in such a church. In a Reformed Baptist church in which there are blacks and whites you will have the one-mindedness regarding Jesus Christ and His Gospel. Also on the Confession. And the pastor should not be politicizing the pulpit as our faith and hope is eschatological transcending worldly conflict and controversy. But black members in an RB church may also witness subtle and not so subtle biased racial thinking coming from beloved white brethren. When this is the case (as I’ve witnessed it) it is a tiny bit heartbreaking.
