Pioneer of the Reformed Baptist Resurgence in mid-20th century America WALT CHANTRY discusses his classic work, which just reached its 45th anniversary in print, “TODAY’S GOSPEL: AUTHENTIC or SYNTHETIC?“:
Differences between much of today’s preaching and that of Jesus are not petty; they are enormous. This powerfully written book has a message which goes to the heart of the contemporary problem in a way that conferences and commissions on evangelism have failed to do. Its expository approach is particularly valuable.

Having some problems downloading this broadcast and the previous two on iTunes. I’ve restarted/re-subscribed to the podcast and it made no difference. No problems before this week, any ideas?
It can be downloaded directly above and that is the same mp3 that iTunes uses… no changes on our side.
That was an excellent interview with Walter Chantry Chris. Really enjoyed that. I bought Today’s Gospel in the early 80’s when we were preaching in the Open Air and needed to get a grasp on what we are to tell people and what is the Gospel. I’ve not come across a better book. It is such a helpful book. I still recomend it. Probably needed now more than ever.
Do thank him for the book if you see him.
Yours,
Mike
Thank you for the interview
With Brother Chantry. It helped me to see how far off
